Sandi Murovec - Muri, Slovenian Technical Skiing Master Joins the ORIGINAL+ Team

As a long-time member of the Slovenian Demo Team and co-author of numerous skiing publications, learning concepts, and films, Muri has been a true pioneer in the world of technical skiing. His impressive career speaks for itself, and we’re excited to highlight some of his key achievements:
A Trailblazer in Ski Innovation
- Creator of the UPS Snowsports Concept: Muri developed this comprehensive and highly effective method for improving ski technique. By gradually increasing ski length, skiers can either refine their technique or master the basics, making it an essential cornerstone of his philosophy.
- Author of Ski Technique Books: Muri’s expertise is accessible to skiers worldwide through his books, “The Edge” and “Being a Skimaster”. These publications offer practical advice for skiers of all levels, focusing on elevating their skills with in-depth, actionable knowledge.
- Ski Movie Production: Muri’s career also includes his collaboration with Slovenian FIS champion Tina Maze as part of her Team to Amaze. He distilled her record-breaking World Cup technique into the ski film “7toHEAVEN”, showcasing seven key elements of her exceptional style.
- FIS Racing Expertise: With a deep understanding of how perfect technique minimizes energy loss and maximizes speed, Muri served as a technique specialist in the speed disciplines for the Slovenian National Ski Team. Additionally, he contributed his expertise to select Croatian National Ski Team World Cup racers, starting with Nika Fleiss during her 2009/10 Olympic season and now serving as a ski technique expert for Samuel Kolega, who currently holds 8th place in FIS slalom points.
